The Malton Show 2012

The Malton Show now enters its 126th year and we are pleased to have with us all the agricultural attractions, farm exhibits and class entries that form the backbone of the show, as well as a few other things to appeal to everyone.
The show will be held as usual in Scampston Park, Malton, North Yorkshire.

Show Highlights + Attractions
At This Year's Show, we have all the usual attractions, stands and exhibits, plus many special displays and events:
|
MANY SPECIAL ATTRACTIONS!
This year's show will include;
- There will be live music, courtesy of Laurence Marshall and his excellent Jelly-Roll Jazz Band
- The Savage Skills BMX Stunt team will be defying gravity, and there will be a workshop for the brave...
- We are pleased to announce that The Cheshire Dog Display Team will be performing their amazing tricks and stunts... As seen on TV !
- Gilly Betts will be there with her Ferret Show, featuring races and "interaction with visitors", which should be fun..
- Talented caricature artist Neil Slater will be there with his pens and pencils, so you can take home a truly memorable souvenir..
- Once again, we have free face-painting for the kids courtesy of Becky Warriner
- The York branch of the Magic Circle will be doing slight of hand and card tricks on unsuspecting visitors.
- Purpleman will be there on Ermintrude, the purple cow, and this year for the first time ever, a Purple Scarecrow!
- Farm Exhibits, Farm Machinery, Farmers' Market
- Craft Marquee, Horticulture, Children's Exhibits and Competitions
- Lots of Horses, Sheep, Cattle and Goats to see and get close to!
- Terrier Racing, in the Main Ring at 12.20pm and 5.00pm, organised by the Hunmanby Terrier Racing Team.
All are welcome to have a go!
- A Fun Day Out for all the family, children, parents and dogs all welcome!

TUG OF WAR !!
Volunteers needed for the Tug-Of-War! Local associations, pubs, clubs and businesses, all welcome!
This has prooved an extremely popular event and it is now free to enter on the day, individually
or as a team and there is also a Tug-of-War contest specially for the kids.

PHOTO COMPETITION !!
We are running a competition for old photos and stories of the show, in association with Malton Gazette and Herald. There will be a prize and coverage in the local press for the winning entry.
