The Malton Show 2013

The Malton Show now enters its 127th year and we are pleased to have with us all the agricultural attractions, farm exhibits and class entries that form the backbone of the show, as well as a few other things to appeal to everyone.
The show will be held as usual in Scampston Park, Malton, North Yorkshire.

Show Highlights + Attractions
At This Year's Show, we have all the usual attractions, stands and exhibits, plus many special displays and events:
|
- This year's LIVE MUSIC will be provided by The Malton School Jazz Band
- Black Rock Llamas will be there, demonstrating the agility and charm of these unusual animals, with displays, contests and llama racing!
- The Shadowquest Dog Display Team will be demonstrating their obedience, agility, searching, and protection work, as well as stunning fire exercises.
- Face painting, glitter stencils and balloon hats for the kids, of any age (!), courtesy of Chrissie Heaven
- Once again, we have managed to book an old favorite, with Punch and Judy Shows to entertain young and old!
- Fun Dog Show! Entries on the day
- Ferret Racing!
- Lurcher Racing!
- Farm Exhibits, Farm Machinery, Farmers' Market
- Craft Marquee, Horticulture, Children's Exhibits and Competitions
- Lots of Horses, Sheep, Cattle and Goats to see and get close to!
- Terrier Racing, in the Main Ring at 12.40pm and 5.20pm, organised by the Hunmanby Terrier Racing Team.
All are welcome to have a go!
- A Fun Day Out for all the family, children, parents and dogs all welcome!

TUG OF WAR !!
Volunteers needed for the Tug-Of-War! Local associations, pubs, clubs and businesses, all welcome!
This has prooved an extremely popular event and it is now free to enter on the day, individually
or as a team and there is also a Tug-of-War contest specially for the kids.

FUN DOG SHOW !!
To be held following the Terrier and Lurcher Show, entries on the day from £1 per class:
Classes include:
- Any Pedigree Puppy
< 12 months
- Any Other Puppy
< 12 months
- Any Working Dog
- Any Pedigree Open
- Best Rescue Dog
- Best Veteran - 7 years or over
- Dog with the waggiest tail
- Dog the judge would most like to take home!

PHOTO COMPETITION !!
We are running a competition for old photos and stories of the show, in association with Malton Gazette and Herald. There will be a prize and coverage in the local press for the winning entry.
